Ride A Pet Tier List: S, A, B and C Criteria Explained

The exact thresholds behind each grade

The reference catalog assigns a grade by comparing one numeric field with the ranges below. Every pet uses the same rule within that metric. A value exactly on a boundary enters the higher grade, so Phoenix’s 1M base speed reaches S rather than A.

These ranges make broad groups readable; they do not make all pets within a group equal. Kitsune and Phoenix both reach speed S, but their documented base values are 1B and 1M. Use the detailed speed comparison when choosing between two pets that share a letter.

Why one species can have several grades

Kangaroo has 3.05K speed, 125 jump and 120 income in its community card. That places it in speed B, jump A and income B. Its jump advantage would disappear if those three fields were merged into an unexplained overall grade.

TRex demonstrates the opposite tradeoff: 266K speed and 50K income place it in A for both, while 100 jump puts it in B. These differences help explain a practical choice without relabeling one pet as universally good or bad. Compare the metric that caused your route or progression bottleneck.

What the tier list deliberately keeps outside the score

Hatch rarity, egg rarity and mutation status are separate fields or systems. A rare hatch is not automatically speed S; a mutated owned pet should not replace its species’ unmodified baseline in this table. Compare your owned card separately when deciding which pet to use today.

Dragon uses archived September 17 revision 458 because later community records conflict. Its historical values still enter the same thresholds, but a grade does not erase that warning. The whole catalog is a documented community snapshot, not a claim that these grades were measured in a current live game.
