THE SHORT ANSWER

Compare pet speed

Kitsune is first in the documented base-speed roster at 1B, followed by archived Dragon at 300M and Cerberus at 100M. Phoenix, TRex and Unicorn follow. These are numeric community card fields with no specified physical unit, so the ranking is not a measured race or a current owned-pet leaderboard.

The six highest documented base speeds

The comparison below sorts the adopted roster directly by base speed, keeping jump beside it so movement tradeoffs remain visible. Dragon’s row is historical revision 458. The rest of these individual baseline cards are dated September 17, 2026; the source ledger was checked again on September 26.

Large gaps are real differences between the recorded numbers, but the source does not describe studs per second or an uncapped linear movement formula. Keep the labels as base fields. Adding a physical unit would make the table appear more precise than the evidence allows.

Sorted September 17 community base cards; archived Dragon is explicitly marked.

What a card ratio can and cannot tell you

Phoenix’s 1M divided by TRex’s 266K is about 3.76. That tells you the base speed field is approximately 3.76 times as large; it does not promise a journey will take one quarter as long. Turns, obstacles, landing failures and the unknown movement implementation can change the practical result.

Jump adds another distinction: Phoenix reports 146 against TRex’s 100. A route with repeated climbs may improve for both reasons at once. To evaluate the owned pets fairly, note their current speed and jump before riding rather than attributing every difference solely to species speed.

Test the return that actually matters

Choose a start landmark and your plot as the finish. Ride the same path several times with each candidate, keeping failed jumps and accidental detours in your notes. Compare a typical clean run and the consistency of the returns, not only the single fastest attempt.

First test without an egg; once the path is reliable, check whether it provides comfortable margin against the timer shown during a real pickup. If both pets finish safely, your next upgrade may be a better route or a matching radar instead of another speed increase. Do not convert base speed into a guaranteed egg-carrying distance.

Compare pet speed: common questions

Are these speeds in studs per second?

The raw cards say Base Speed without a physical unit. This comparison preserves that limitation.

Why is my slower species faster in play?

Age, feeding or mutations can change an owned pet, and terrain affects the journey. Compare current cards and the same route before using the unmodified baseline to explain the result.
