Hatch traits: Gold, Diamond and Rainbow
Revision 657 reports a hatch roll for Gold, Diamond or Rainbow. These are trait chances, not the chance of a particular species. A Rainbow hatch does not establish an exclusive pet pool. Read the resulting card to see which trait actually appeared.
| Trait | Reported chance | Reported multiplier |
|---|---|---|
| Gold | 10% | 2× |
| Diamond | 1% | 7× |
| Rainbow | 0.5% | 15× |
Weather traits and replacement
The same revision lists Shocked 2×, Volted 3×, Rage 4×, Void 7× and Eternal 12.5×. It says a stronger weather trait can replace a weaker one. Keep a note of the pet and its card before exposure, then check both the trait label and speed afterward.
Launch-era guides list different Diamond, Void and Eternal values. A newer edit date alone is not proof that a balance change happened. Treat those differences as unresolved until a dated game card or developer note resolves them.
- Read the current weather notice and interaction prompt.
- Check the new card instead of assuming a reroll is always an upgrade.
- Do not multiply the numbers in this article to predict income or final speed.
Magma and admin events are separate decisions
Magma is reported as a lava-crater attempt while carrying an egg, not a routine lightning exposure. Revision 657 lists it at 10×. See the dedicated Magma guide for the timer risk and conflicting footage.
The revision describes Mutation Madness as boosted hatch-trait odds, Lucky as a luck event and Gigantuar as an enlarged egg event. Its Gigantuar/Gargantuan spelling varies. The official FUSE MACHINE listing advertises Mutation Madness but does not publish trait odds or a guaranteed admin schedule.
Can mutations stack?
The community revision permits one hatch trait alongside one weather trait. The Magma walkthrough instead warns that Magma cannot coexist with a weather trait. We have no dated live-game test resolving that overlap. Keep valuable pets out of an experiment until you understand the current replacement prompt.
For a practical comparison, enter the two speed values actually printed on your pet cards into our calculator. That answers which ride is faster without inventing an unverified stacking formula.
Take this into your next session.
Compare the card you own, use the correct trigger and keep uncertain stacking out of purchase decisions.
